"Thuggin' It and Lovin' It" DVD

Thursday, August 13th 2009 @ 4:17 AM (not yet rated)    post viewed 1704 times

The video shows a dozen men, faces covered, waving AK-47s and firing wildly in the air. It’s not the latest terrorist propaganda video from Afghanistan, it’s “the first real gangsta video ever.”

Thug Life

Teens smoke crack, wave thousands of dollars in cash, and laugh at the police in the subtly titled film, “Thuggin It and Lovin It.” The DVD is a smash hit with certain subcultures on the streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but the cops don’t think it’s funny. Baton Rouge’s district attorney is mounting a full investigation to find out the identities of the men and women in “Thuggin It and Lovin It.”

The cover of the DVD claims the movie’s scenes – mostly party scenes and teens mugging for the camera, showing off guns and money – are all portrayed by professional actors. Take a look for yourself (excerpts, first link). What do you think?

The producers of “Thuggin It and Lovin It,” Millionaire Entertainment, say their motivations are pure:

“We gave people in different neighborhoods the chance to promote themselves,” one producer said – which doesn’t really jibe with the “actors” claim. “We [are] helping the community out. We [are] helping people.”

Not surprisingly, the producers of “Thuggin It and Lovin It” claim the video is the first step to launch a new rap label.

Nice.

Usually a successful mean of blame-dodging, Millionaire Ent.'s tends to fall short due to one slightly suspicious overcite: there were no names of any actors listed in any of the film's credits.

With copies flying off shelves at the rate of nearly 100 DVD's at a time, there is no denying that the people are feeling a connection with “Thuggin It's” gritty content. But as art often imitates life, is it the morally just thing to do by promoting a sub-par lifestyle while showcasing the finest in heathenism and gangsterific splendiferousness?

At Millionaire Entertainment, the shuckin' and jivin' never stops, and the people will lose another generation that it cannot afford to misplace; all in the name of a buck. Let the hootin' and high-kickin commence, as the 21st century minstrel show kicks into high gear, producing nothing but the highest quality in a new age of THUG LIFE.

Sisqo member of Dru Hill, has a son by a 14-year old groupie

Sisqo

Singer Sisqo aka Mark Andrews from the Band Dru Hill has a son in Switzerland. In 1999 he had sex with a 14 year old fan after a concert in Zurich, according to swiss media reports.

The now 25 year old mother fought for years with swiss courts in a paternity suit. After six years a swiss judge confirmed Sisqo being the father after a medical expertise. Sisqo did not comment that case until now.

BIO

African-American R&B and pop music star Sisqo was born Mark Durell Andrews in Baltimore, Maryland on November 9, 1978. Sisqo's most notable accomplishment so far are his lead singer position in notorious R&B group Dru Hill and the thong underwear fashion explosion fueled by his smash hit "Thong Song". Sisqo's rapidly ascending way to stardom begins when he gets recruited by Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin as the clue member of Dru Hill, a promising R&B group named after Druid Hill Park in his native city. Dru Hill's magnificent success is largely due to Sisqo's overwhelming eccentric stage presence and vocal appeal. Sisqo's off-beat appearance is mostly due to his eclectic hair styles, including blond cornrows or neon red dyed locks.

After two platinum LPs and a great deal of successful singles with Dru Hill, Sisqo decides to quit the group and embark on his solo career. This turn in his music career turns out to be an even more successful one with the releases of the brilliant Unleash the Dragon in November 1999. Hit singles "Thong Song" and its follow-up "Incomplete" turn into major hits on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. His second album Return the Dragon (2001) features hits such as "Can I Live" and "Dance With Me", making the release platinum, however, at a much slower pace than the debut one. In 2002 Sisqу gets back to Dru Hill for the release of their third LP in late 2002.
